Can anyone help me with it? I was following this tutorial here but its incomplete so it didnt work for me, and I wanted to ask.. is it possible to add buttons to this TinyMCE like imgur button, spoiler button and such?

Not without extensive coding. Same goes for Ckeditor. Suggest you try Simple Ckeditor:

BTW, simple ckeditor plugin file points to ver 4.6.*

It's easy to update just replace that line in the code with the latest cdn version.
