Hello I'm planning to make multiple user groups on my forum but I was wondering if it will slow down my forum performance if i add alot of user groups? Also is there a way to make my forum header image to change depending what forum/subforum you're seeing?

No, you're only using existing functionality. You're not adding queries, so i don't see why it should slow down performance.
