I've disabled this completely with core modifications, but a setting to change the length would be very helpful. Maybe even a setting to disable it completely. If you've ever put a template to the side, came back and made several edits, then saved only to be greeted with the login screen meaning all the code you've entered is now lost, you'll know why I suggest this. It's also just generally annoying to have to login over and over again.
