MyBB Community Forums

Full Version: Login retention issue and junk code in new replies.
You're currently viewing a stripped down version of our content. View the full version with proper formatting.
Problem 1:
When trying to log in, the the user is redirected to an Error Page with the following message.
Quote:Authorization code mismatch. Are you accessing this function correctly? Please go back and try again.

Going back to the Board Index will make everything appear normal, but the cookie won't persist after leaving the forum for a certain amount of time and you'll have to log in again later with the same results. Likewise, it is impossible to manually log out. Clicking the "Log Out" link does nothing but redirect to the Board Index.

Problem 2:
On the New Reply and Post Thread pages, the post editor starts out with this:
Quote:<p><span id="sceditor-start-marker" class="sceditor-selection sceditor-ignore" style="display: none; line-height: 0;"> </span><span id="sceditor-end-marker" class="sceditor-selection sceditor-ignore" style="display: none; line-height: 0;">

Sometimes removing this code and posting results in a normal post. Other times it results in a post with
Quote:<p>[THE ACTUAL CONTENT OF THE POST BEING IN THE MIDDLE OF THESE TAGS THAT APPEAR OUT OF NOWHERE.]</p>

For some reason, this doesn't seem to happen when the MyCode formatting options are disabled in the User CP, and does not seem to impact Quick Reply at all.

The Login Retention problem has been around as long as I'm aware of. The posting issue, however, is new as of a few days ago. The forum is currently running myBB 1.8.21 and according to the Admin CP records, we have not upgraded or altered our settings recently.

Our forum can be found at https://www.sfdb.enchantedcherryblossom..../index.php, and the test account is as follows:

Username: Just Passing Through
Password: Welcome
Hi,

Problem 1:
The problem it's only when the "mobile version" of your forum shows up. If you try to login through "MyBB Mobile" plugin, it'll show this error. This plugin it's outdated and it's a pain in the a$$ to make it work. It also shows a lot of errors right now in your forum.
Best thing you could do it's to remove it and use a responsive theme.
