Solved- we just wound up using Installatron on Godaddy and writing over what we had. We deleted the installation folder and just went through them.

The downside is we lost our history. The plus side it is worked in less than five minutes.

We were upgrading our forum from an older version installed years ago and it kept stalling after sitting for over an hour.

We're going through the steps to upgrade and just do a new install to 1.8.21 and we'll rebuild our forum.

We're all the way through the steps and get to Database Configuration and then we get stuck.

No matter what we put in we get the error message "There seems to be one or more errors with the database configuration information that you supplied: Could not connect to the database server at '100halfmarathonsclub' with the supplied username and password. Are you sure the hostname and user details are correct?"

Are we missing something here?

We use Godaddy for our host. We are writing over an already existing forum.
