I've just installed (new/fresh) MyBB, and I'm having an issue.  When a new user tries to register, they fill out the form, submit, get the email to activate.

To complete the registration process on RVCampHub Board, you will need to go to the URL below in your web browser.
http://www.rvcamphub.com/rvboard/member.php?action=activate&uid=XX&code=XXXXX

If the above link does not work correctly, go to
http://www.rvcamphub.com/rvboard/member....n=activate

You will need to enter the following:
Username: XXXXX
Activation Code: XXXXXX

So that all works.

However, when they click on the link to activate, they get an 404 Error - doesn't exist.

The link in the browser when they click on it ....
http://www.rvcamphub.com/rvboard/User-XXXXX?action=activate&code=XXXXX

If they click on the second link, it works, and they have to copy and paste the activation code, then they are in.  So it's just the first link that's having an issue.

What could it be?  Has to be a minor tweak?

Please can you confirm which version of MyBB you are running?
Please can you run the File Verification tool in the ACP and share the results with us?
Please can you confirm if you have installed any plugins yet?

I have tested the issue here and it works as expected on this board but this could be a bug.

Looks like some SEO plugin is making undesirable redirects.

Better check plugins you've installed and activated.

Check your messages.lang.php language file for various entries starting with email_.

I've punted, and doing a reinstall.  Yeah, I think it may have been a plugin causing it.  I'm going to start with a fresh install.  Version is the latest one here (1.8)
