Hello,

I dont know how this happened so I will try to be as elaborate as possible.

I have a semi-adult forum (hences no link) and I have been on the old 1.6 for a long time. It was running fine.
Suddenly last week , the layout was gone. Like, a white page with all the text in it.

I couldnt figure out why.  I did the whole rebuild files thing, nothing helped.  I tried different browsers and even different IP's.  Nothing.

So I thought maybe its the oold version. So I upgraded (painfully) and now I am on the latest.
I did the whole rebuilt everything again, I tried all the maintenance options, nothing.  Still no layout.
All posts seem to work fine, I can login fine. Its just the layout.

I also tried different templates and all that. Nothing changes.

I can show a bit of the layout:

As you can see, theres no layout.

Anyone have any idea?

Thanks for letting us know the solution, glad you got it fixed!
I seem to have a follow-up problem now. People can not register.

I didnt link this to this problem, and tried all the revert/rebuild solutions, but nothing works.

Then I changed theme, pretty much rebuild every file, and it worked again.
I then changed back to the old theme and I could register again, but then suddenly my whole layout was gone again. So I remember this thread and the solution (change http to https in the link) I found, redid that and now I cant register again.

It loads the register page and when filled in and you click the proceed button, nothing happens. So the button isnt going anywhere.

Is there a template or something about the register page that also needs the http change? Because i cant find it...

I want to ask you to check all below steps because this issue has occurred again to you.
Did you migrate your from 1.6 to 1.8 ?
Did you try removing your older theme and using an updated theme ?
Can you check if config.php is having https as url ?
Are you cookie settings correct ?
Is your forum url in config.php is correct ?
