DVZ Mentions is pretty easy to install...just extract the zip file and upload the files to the proper directories using FTP or cPanel.
Once the files are in the proper directories, refresh your Plugins page in the ACP and at the bottom, you will see the plugin. Click Activate and you should be good to go! Make sure the settings are set the way you want also...go to Configuration>Settings>DVZ Mentions (9 Settings).
