So, I have a weird edge case going on here.

I have MyBB installed on my domain, I have a theme selected and I want to force this theme on all users, the down side of this though is that my theme isn't mobile friendly at all.

I have 2 potential theories on how to fix this but don't really know which is best or how to go about them.

1) force theme change based on screen size. (not sure how to go about this honestly).

2) set up a second MyBB install with a mobile theme on a sub domain but on the same database and force redirect mobile users. (not sure if this will work since the forums will be sharing a database and I'm pretty sure the theme will just carry over from one to another.

Im open to alternate ideas or straight out solutions.

Thank you in advance for your time.

I just decided to get a new theme that is mobile friendly. Highly recommend Tesla Dark theme.
Good, because two forums can't share the same database. Collisions will ensue.
You made the right choice to add a theme.
I have added a theme for my users and let them know it is available and how to change it. And I made sure all themes have $themeselect in the footers. Makes it easier to let them choose.

The question has been asked before. Done with care and precision, I suppose it could be done. My collisions remark was my first thought, and I'd have to consider what specific collisions could occur. So, retract that first sentence. Suffice it to say that the effort to make the core edits would be extensive and prone to problems. It isn't a trivial matter. The rest of my response is my opinion and experience.

Maybe there are more.
Peharps can I adapt ABP Multi Domain to let choose a theme for each (sub)domain.
I'll have a look on that.
Honestly an automatic theme changer for mobile devices would be cool.
