I found this in "Who's Online Templates". Has it something to do with an "Usernames Online Today" feature (visible, i.e., in vB)? If yes, how might we enable it?

I believe it's talking about the templates to show the usernames online today page. Not a feature that you can enable via the admin cp.
It's the one where you click [Complete List] then on the bottom "Who was online today". I've seen that page put on the index right below the bottom of the who's online part, but you would need to have a hack for it.
