well thats easily changed !! so i don't think it should be set as default !
and have the link come up in another window, just means more windows. which most poeple don't want !

It always used to be set to 98% but this was one of the minor details missed out when the shoutbox was upgraded to work with RC3. All line breaks and table widths have been added to the new templates.
I'm not entirely certain about using javascript to delete shouts. What if a user doesn't have javascript enabled? How do they delete a shout?
