Hello,
Yesterday i downloaded backups for my forum and i saw something weird.
its was about 1gb bigger than last time.
then i saw this file -> "(error.log)" and its about 826MB.
can anyone tell me what is it?
can i delete it?

all errors related to your forum are logged into that error.log file
as it is a huge file, you may not be able to check its contents.
you can delete that file.

fresh error.log file will be created when your forum gets new errors.
it would be better to check contents of error log once in awhile &
fix logged errors. you can delete the file when its size becomes large

thats not a pernament solution.
i will delete that file now but if somebody help me to fix some error would be better.

404 means a resource is not found.
The webserver is calling "usercp2.php" that certainly does not exist.

You're logging HTTP Code 200 (sucessful access) as well. You can massively reduce the log file when suppressing "good" events and log errors only.

BTW. Is this really a log file generated by MyBB system or is this the standard Apache webserver log?

Hi,

it's a spam bot from China trying to subscribe to your forum. As a bot, it's not coded quite well, so it ask for the suscription in a not proper way (maybe before be activated/registered the user), or the URL it asks not exist (404 error).

What I do it's ban their IP/ISP and forget them.
