Is there a simple way to disable users from adding their website in the user profile section?  or get rid of the field for the website?

As I understand when the site address is entered it is a dofollow link.

1. You can hide websites to any specific user groups in ACP:
Profile Options > Hide Websites To Groups > Select "All groups"

2. You can completely get rid off displaying a website in a member's profile by removing the variable {$website} from the the template "member_profile_contact_details"
