I've done a successful merge from VB 4.25 to MyBB 1.8 however I still have 200,000 attachments importing.

Now the crazy question. Is it safe me me to work on permissions and other items while the attachments are importing?

though this is a late response,
its better to not attempt changes to the database while it is working on a crucial task ...

I figured that would be the case. It's chugging along also 24 hours running and only 76,000 to go.
