When trying to install the plugin I get the following error message:

Seeing as that "fixed" version is from the 1.6 source ver 1.32 https://mods.mybb.com/download/mytabs as you can see from the "fixers" support request to fix an issue with it here https://community.mybb.com/thread-226391...pid1342977 and by viewing the pkg identifier numbers as well as source in that thread as well as looking at the "fixed" source on the mods site one can clearly see that was the 1.6 ver 1.32 file https://mods.mybb.com/download/mytabs Also note what the fixer states during thier support request after applying a provided fix:

* thats because the module file in acp needs editing and this most likely because the "fixer" was perhaps mixing content from the 1.6 version and the 1.8 version as there a bunch of changes and doing so will cause these types of errors



I note this because the issue is still present in thier "fixed" version as you will notice if you bypass your error and visit the tabs page . Also note the "fixed version is missing admin lang file also.

I am also kinda boggled on why the mix and match because fatalmessiah should have either used the 1.6 and fix it if that was the goal or use the 1.8 and if issues then happen fix in that version...

As you can see while not the fatalmessiah "fix" but simply the 1.6 version running on 1.8.22  here with my localhost having  php 7.3.3 and MySQLi 5.6.38



Also on a humour filled note if you take the time to even mess with the "fixed" version and add the missing lang file and what not and make  some other edits which are kinda pointless when we can simply use 2.0 the 1.8 version without these hassles but anyhoo related to the issue you mentioned umm, while not a fix a quick and dirty bypass is simply copying the dbs deactivation steps into the beginning of the activation process, activate the plugin then notice the error is not present, the plugin installs fine and you can delete the bypass after such...,lol but as I have stated there are other issues with this "fixed" version even after that.




Anyhoo, so in noting all that and now simply focussing on your specific error only I am curious if the same issue you are having is present in the actual authors 1.8 version? 2.0 https://community.mybb.com/mods.php?action=view&pid=456 as that might be a better source to start from and fix if needed. Food for thought.

vintagedaddyo, thank you very much for your attention. Considering the arguments presented I decided not to use this plugin. It doesn't seem to be being maintained properly.
