I have a weird problem, I'm trying to set up SMTP settings while using godaddy hosting so email activation emails are being sent to users when they register. After some research it seems that some ports and settings need to be changed to be able to be supported by godaddy. The problem is a weird one.. I'm basically trying updating the mail server settings and everything goes fine, the database mybb_settings is being updated with the correct information. But when I check the system email logs to see the results, the same smtp username is being used, despite changing it 10 times. I tried deleting the init settings.php file and redo the settings, but have no results.. Does anyone have an idea of how I could possibly fix this? thank you!
