Self-experiment ...
I wanted to insert icons in the header bar. I just added this to the template header_welcomeblock_member:

			<i class="fas fa-child"></i>{$buddylink}

		<i class="fas fa-envelope"></i>{$pmslink}
		</ul>

Now it looks different than on the left side (User CP, ModCP, adminCP). The distance between the icon and the link is further ...
In addition, the link "Views today posts" has no icon at all.

Of course I realize that I did something wrong ... but what?
