Trying to browse Themes from ACP says: 

The following errors were encountered:

• There was a problem communicating with the MyBB themes server. Please try again in a few minutes.
  

But this works from another forum I upgraded earlier this week.

communicating with another server depends on a number of factors [eg. curl, secured connection .. etc]

please browse directly to themes at the Extend Section

It was the cookie setting in the settings table. Works now!
