Is there any development on a forum chat system for mybb? This would be an excellent feature to add. I would like it so only members could chat, and members could report other members if they say something questionable, so therefore chatlogs would be appreciated. Thanks!

In the meantime, my shoutbox mod is about the closest thing to what you're looking for. Only registered members can shout, not guests. It doesn't have chat logs, but shouts aren't deleted unless you manually empty the shouts table. You'll be able to prune shouts in the next version, as well as report shouts.
