The difference between the database size in phpmyadmin and the MyBB ACP is one is the live database and the other is a set of compressed (.gz) SQL commands to recreate the database.

You don't need to worry about the database size. 40MB is incredibly tiny. Just truncate the sessions table and you'll be good to go.

Now database return to regular size.

now can setting task to clear sessions, and truncate the table via phpmyadmin, the database return to regular size aprox. 4MB
