As someone who has reviewed many plugins in the past, I would support a featured plugins list. Some of the plugins I saw were coded very unoptimally to where I actually private messaged the author ways they could improve the performance of their plugin. I do think it would be fair to include not only current staff, but also former staff because a person may have developed a great plugin while they were on staff, but then got to busy so they chose to step down.

Recommended plugins should be ones written by either an approved developer or be very well written. Uses proper methods such as simple_select, insert_query, and delete_query as much as possible.
