I will say Sorry from the start. I am very knew to this kind of forum layout. Can someone please point me to a how to for dummies on loading plug ins? I am sure that I am missing it when I am trying to search for the answer.
It’s under ACP -> configuration. On the sidebar (near the center) is the plugins page. Smile

I have that part down. What I need to know is once I down load the plugin how do I get it to work with my forum. I mean I down it to my computer but from there I am lost.....
Have you uploaded it to the server yet? Once it’s uploaded to the right folder, it pops up automatically in the plugins page. After that you just click “install and activate.”

To upload it, you just upload the contents of the “upload” directory to the home folder of your forum. Inside the upload directory is usually a list of folders and files that contain the plugin. Some plugins name this folder differently, but they always contain, at the very least, an “inc” folder, so you’ll know you’re uploading the right contents if you see this.

Once it’s installed, they usually add settings in the configuration tab and sometimes new pages in the admin panel, but this depends on the plugin.
Surely documentation has to be useful to some extend:
https://docs.mybb.com/1.6/Plugins/
https://docs.mybb.com/1.8/administration/plugins/

I would be surprised if not a single word from there was understandable.
