When you go to my forums under http:// it looks like it's supposed to. With https:// it loses all formatting.  Any thoughts as to why?

Check ACP > "Configuration" > "Site Detsils" and correct all of your forum URLs.
Then clear Cookies and hard-refresh your site.

Yep, specifically your Board URL. You might want to apply a redirection for any requests to http over to https which can be done via your .htaccess.

That worked. Thanks guys, now if I can only get the facebook-login plugin talking right.
