I have the problem that when trying to install it I get the following error.

I use the mysql engine and the latest version of mybb

I think you should change gid value from null to "0"
try it .

in the plugin file, try changing sid => '', to sid => '0',

do the same change sid value to "0"  Smile

ok this is the new error, I have changed the description to 0 value and it gives the same error
