hi there

previously i had mybb forum 1.6 version few days back i tried to upgrade it to latest but got stuck 

no my question is i have the backup of mybb taken from admin panel of mybbb

can i install a fresh version of mybb and restore the old backup ?

The short answer is no, the database needs upgrading.

i get below error

delete file named similar to rssfeedposter.lang.php from inc/languages folder
