Checked this briefly in a test environment.
Simple quote of post with image - results as expected
Re-quote (nested) without additional image - results as expected
Quote all above, but added image - results as expected
Quoted entire mess as above - no image added - results as expected
As I have more time today, will expand my testing. Like @philbean - my members come up with scenarios that can be hard to to believe - or anticipate.
I'm sure a few other use cases will occur to me.
But these already include some of the scenarios where previous results were problematic. Assuming all goes well, will make the change live tonight.
