I had MyBB up and working fine I add a SSL cert using letsencrypt and now the site displayed formatted BUT the admin console is fine
see attached and the admin console looks fine as I said earlier[attachment=42981][attachment=42982]

have you used https protocol for board url at Site Details page of forum admin panel ?
