Can anybody help me with this problem? Where the text overlaps, it happens on the signature and when trying to make a new post or thread.

It looks like an out-dated theme/template issue. Please refer to https://community.mybb.com/thread-223638.html to manually add/change/update relevant templates/javascripts.
