How would I go about adding banner, button, text, and possibly google ads to my forum?
Would it be a case of using some other advertising display/managment script, and then making a template to display them on the forum?
All you need to do is edit the template you want the ads to display on, add your code in there.

Popular places are header and footer templates since they show up on pretty much every page except for redirects.
Indeed there are. Your not allowed them on non-content pages (redirects, login, register, search, user cp (I think), and more). That why I wrote a small tutorial. I'll see if I can find it for you...........
