first in inc/settings.php
file
and clear browser cookies & cache. then you should be able
to login to forum admin panel. at Site Details
page of the
Configuration Section again put correct cookie path value /
report back if the problem persists

Thank you for your reply. I forgot to mention I could still access the admin area, but I have carried out the instructions listed above and it still comes up with that error.
If I move the forum back to
https://forumformentalhealthissues.com/mybb then I can log back in. But i'd obviously like the forum to be here:
https://forumformentalhealthissues.com.

We have done that but now we cannot edit anything.
If your forum is using TLS (which, yours is), you should also enable the Secure Cookie
flag within your admin control panel, this is another cause of the authorization code mismatch error (though certainly not the only one).

I'll give that a go now!

Think that may have fixed it, its weird as I could edit the settings.php file to turn the secure cookie on then log into admin and it would then turn it off. I've managed to sort it all out now, thank you very much for you help!
changes to settings.php
file are for temporary.
actual changes should be done at forum admin panel.
