When I said that noone can give you the right answer, it's only because it's totaly system-dependant. Only a person knowing your system (which httpd you use, where is your www root, ...) can help you, so reffer to your hoster or your technical support.

That's why I gave as much possible information as I could, in the hope that somebody could help me (eventuelly by asking me relevant questions). Many things are not in my mother tongue and therefore often too difficult and born Englisch are not known for there awareness that Englisch is not everyone's mother tongue.
The lack of a Dutch-language forum does not really motivate me to choose for mybBB.
Ok, so I think the better way for you is to download the MyBB sources with cour computer (using https://mybb.com/download/ as [ExiTuS] said, then unzip the archive on your computer.
Your hoster probably gave you a ftp access to upload files, your web root could be a directory named www/, public_html/ or yourdomain.tld/, or it could be directly the first directory you reach (ask your hoster).
When you find this directory, upload the unziped archive (keeping the directory structure) and also the language package (https://community.mybb.com/mods.php?acti...w&pid=1510) unzipped.

BTW, as already said, we can not guess which directory must be used on your server, only you and your hoster have this information.

That was exactly what I did, but then the problem start.
Quote:Your hoster
I wrote earlier, that I want the MyBB-'software' upon my RaspberryPy as a home server, to make it possible first to test things off line. So the question is; how can I bring these software on the right place there.

I think it must be /var/www/html on my Raspberry Pi home server and if so, the question still remains, HOW.[/quote]
sudo might be your friend.
Peharps you may learn the basics of raspbian first, then use it.
