Besides double posting, one attachment suggests you have permissions issues. Image is truncated, but see root in there. Ownership should be the web server group account - whatever that is.
However on a local install, hard to say what's been set up. For starters, I'd chown the whole MyBB root directory to the correct account. BTW, MyBB 1.8(x) covers a lot of versions.

there should be your images directory,
Which theme are you using? and can we have your forum url?
