Hi,

I have a scenario where someone may click on an unread post and have a quick look at it and realise that he can't deal with it at that time and would like to mark it as unread so he can come back to it at another time.

I could only find one plugin but it doesn't work with 1.8. Anyone know if there is any other plugin? 

I know there are some plugins that do this but only when the post has been edited but thats not what is needed in this case

While this doesn't mark it as unread, you could alternatively Subscribe to the thread. This makes it visible in the User CP so you could come back to it later. There are options as to notifications that you want when you subscribe.
