Hello everyone,
Another admin on my site was asking if MyBB can do soft deleting? Soft deleting removes the thread from the view of normal users, but still exists in the forums. This is usefull in case of the, "O CRAP", I didn't mean to delete that thread.

You can "soft delete" a forum by:-
Admin CP -> Manage Forums -> Edit -> Forum Is 'Active' -> No ->Update Forum
P.S This Might Only Work On MyBB 1.2

Thanks for the tip on the soft deleting of a forum. I was wanting a soft delete for messages. So if a mod or admin deletes a thread they get the option to delete the thread so the user can't see it, but the mods/admins still can.

Unapprove the message?
Go to an thread and check the checkboxes for the posts you wanna unapprove then go to the button of the page and select from the "Inline Post Moderation:" dropdown, Unapprove posts.
Unfortunately I do not think there is an option in MyBB to soft delete a thread

Yeah, being able to soft delete a specific thread and even single posts within a thread is a great tool! I hope a mod is made for this!
