Hi to all! 
I already have a mybb forum on ubuntu vps with apache.

But its only http.. i want to insicure my private forum with https how its possible?
I dont have experience with this think.. i started only this years using servers.. and hosts.

i already have a domain.

If you have a paid service (VServer, Webspace, domain etc) your hoster may have the option to activate SSL with a certificate. Check that in your contract/hosting web administration.

If not you can use "Let's Encrypt" for free to create valid certificates by your own for your domain (and subdomains).
Then you need to install certbot package and run the procedure to create a certificate. These need to be renewed every three month.

Of course there a a lot of official certificate authorities to buy certificates. I could bet every hoster who is serving Vservers will do such as well.
But Let's Encrypt is the best alternate for valid and free SSL encryption.
