and what is this portal for?
It forces the user who have not been in the forum from a certain delay to land on the portal page (native MyBB page) or another one that you decide, even if he has a direct link to a thread or a specific forum.
And the portal is just the portal, look in your forum you'll see it if you have enabled it.
