Hello so i have added a group of buttons i would like to make the board / forum switch between sections when peapol use them

Adding some buttons will not make anything dynamically switching - you need some logical mechanism behind your button group and forum structure.
There is need for an extension to realise your project. Have a search for "Tabbed Menu" for example.

Thanks for your comment. I did already look that extension up but i don't like the way its working and the way its customizaing
