The site is now at 1.8.25, but pasting images is still not working.

The image looks fine when you first paste it into the editor, but after you hit save the post has this in it:

Is image pasting working for others?

No.  Will leave the support team to respond in full, but personally don't want to see our database full of image data.  We use mydropzone now with the Imgur api.

Latest update was just security update. No functiinaly change. 
You can paste and image into editir using rin editor
Go to plugin release section and follow that thread. 
Martec provided good tutorial for this
