Hi! How can I change the search function to get more user friendly search URLs? I want to be able to link to specific keyword searches easily as a way to incorporate thread tagging.

Something like: exampleforum.com/search.php?action=do_search&keywords=tagname&showresults=posts

I found this thread which has the same issue, but the proposed solution (editing search.php) does not seem applicable to the newest version because the file no longer contains this line:

&& $mybb->request_method == "post"

Seems to work with the latest code.

Hmm, it doesn't seem to be working on my forum. When I enter a term that I know is present in a thread, it says that there are no results.

EDIT: Solved! The URLs I was using were only searching thread titles instead of entire posts. If anyone else is wondering, you have to include "&postthread=1" in the link to search the entire post, which is why results weren't working for me.
