I ended up answering my own questions, so I am editing this post here for some people who are wondering how to hide things on mobile or desktop. You can use hidden or hide_mobile.
For example: <span class="online hidden"</span> to hide on the desktop or <span class="online hide_mobile"</span> on mobile.
