I can't seem to get users to be automatically activated. Every time I log into the admin there are users awaiting activation. I have it set to Email Activation. Does this mean these users are bots and didn't activate their account?

Is it possible the email activation is going to their junk or spam folder?

Is there a better registration method than email activation? Does instant activation get more spam registrations?

The three options (bots, junk or spam) are possible, and also mail not send.

Instant activation is a really bad idea because anyone will be registered, even with fake addresses, allowing someone (or a bot) to create a lot of fake accounts
