Full Version: Emerald light - mobile version not displaying forum summaries

Hi all

I've recently installed Emerald light theme to enable a full responsive forum. However; I noted that in the mobile version, the summary of each form is not displayed. Example - threads, posts, and the last post. Is there a way to have some of this information being displayed?

Also, when I view a post from my phone, the member profile is huge and takes up most of the screen. Is there a possibility just to display the name of the user as opposed to all the profile details?

Lastly, is there a way to remove the banner "Get the extended version" from the forum?

Thank you!

Hi HLFadmin

Is this to remove the banner?

Sorry just tried and yes it removes the banner. Much appreciated.

Sorry for nagging, but any chance you might know the solution for the first 2? Big Grin
1. Generally, the theme css controls what becomes invisible when the width is smaller, and at what threshold it changes the view. At this point, I am a responsive theme *user*, able to poke under the hood and learn some things to understand better how it works. In my opinion, I agree this theme needs tweaking to improve use of space. Can't answer specifically.

2. The same applies here. It's obvious the postbit box moves above the post content, which makes the profile full width. Don't know enough to say how to hide content. Yet. But you've pushed my curiosity closer to the action level.

This much I do know. A theme author makes a lot of decisions in choosing what goes and what stays in making a responsive theme. There are a lot of moving parts. Literally. Big Grin

Emerald Light is a pared down mobile theme. Since the templates determine what is served, it may have a small advantage in delivering a lighter data package to a phone.

I've been impressed with WallBB's Orange Flat theme. It's a premium product, and his use of screen space doesn't make me cringe. Although on a phone with portrait mode, the forum details disappear, only to reappear in landscape mode. Post author profile is treated well in non-classic mode, still using enough space for the post.

Demo available when you click on a specific theme and choose Live Demo.

I have no connection with WallBB, except as a satisfied purchaser.
edit the .post_classic class in global css

and add a media query for responsive according your desire
