How can I sort threads  the way I wanz so that they stay sorted ?

You can do that by selecting the default Sort mechanism in Forum Settings.

ACP » Forum And Posts » Forum Management » Select Forum Name and then Edit Forum

You will find "Default View Options" and there you can select the default sorting method which will make your forum remain sorted as you want.
