I activated the Sitenews plugin, uploaded the news.php, set the correct path to the forum and the correct fid in the ACP (site news plugin options).
But the only thing the news.php shows is "There are no announcements available at this time."
any idea what the problem could be?
Are there any posts in that forum?
The only other solution is that your using a wrong fid, or your settings.php isn't updating properly.
yes there are enough posts in the forum. i checked the fid several times, i also tried with one of the other forums and with more than one but always the same.
how can i check whether the settings.php is the problem? which value shall i look for?
edit: I think it really could be the settings.php as the last values i see there are from the events on index plugin (the last plugin i installed) and i cant find any values which seem to belong to newssite plugin.
ok when i chmod settings.php to 777 (was 755) then it works.
