Hello
Have a forum and was running really well 90 members. All of a sudden emails stop going to members when a post was created. I spoke to the hosting suppliers and they said that it was nothing to do with them. I asked them so why after nearly a year the emails have stopped. they said it was spam-related.
They first asked me to go here mail-tester.com and the result came back 9/10
Then they said frequency/amount of emails that you are sending
Then they said missing or undisclosed recipients with a bulk signature
Then they said Here is an example of the rate limit being hit:+++ 1m3xv8-00077I-Mp has not completed +++
2021-07-15 10:44:42 1m3xv8-00077I-Mp H=(theiba.co.uk) [45.8.227.175] F=<> A=dovecot_cram_md5: rejected after DATA: PROBABLESPAM RATE LIMIT: has sent 167.4/1h of probable spam.
I told them that we had done everything they asked and I had the script checked and it was fine......
Now the last thing they have come back and said: I appreciate we sent you to a mail testing service, which would usually highlight any obvious issues, but it did not pick up the issue at hand. The actual rspamd rules that are being hit are R_UNDISC_RCPT and FORGED_RECIPIENTS which you should be able to pass on to your developer to ensure these rules are not hit in future.
If you can adjust how you send mail, you should be fine going forward. I'm afraid there isn't anything else we can do from our end to resolve this.
Can you please help or advise
