Do we know more or less when the release date of mybb 1.9 is expected?

I have to change platforms from vubulletin 4.5.x and I would like to switch to mybb but 1.8 is not responsive native and so I would like to wait.

Nothing we can commit to, no. The best bet would be to use one of the many responsive themes available.
