MyBB Community Forums - Can not reply to posts

Hi
I have the new version that all works ok
I also have version 1.6.18
ON THE 1.6.18 VERSION
Everything works apart from
the reply button I get the below error message

This page isn’t workingwww.forum.lengoundry.co.uk is currently unable to handle this request.
HTTP ERROR 500

If I click on New Reply or fill in Quick Reply they work ok
it's just the reply button.

is there a fix for this?

We don't support 1.6.18 any more as it was released over 6 years ago. Depending on your PHP version it may be an incompatibility, but we can only assist with upgrading, not running a 1.6.x forum.

Quick question: is there a way I can get my data base sql from version 1.6.18
to work on the new 1.8.29
I've tried lot's of time to upgrad but can not get it to work.
