Hi.

I try to understand how MyBB works with the images. Can anyone help me ? (1.8.29 english with french translation, roundo theme, no plugin)


In the thread editor (see below, i have 4 samples :
1 : full path
2 : relative path
3 : full path to external server
4: drag & drop in editor

I can save and modify the thread : all data are stored.

But, here's problems for the display (see further)

The images with relative path (2) dispaly the BBcode... and the image placed with drag & drop (4) display binary code...
Why ? The user profile is correct.

I have placed icons in my categories titles with a relative path (but this is html code - img src=myimages/organisation.png style="height:20px;vertical-align:middle" /) and the icons are dsplayed.

What is the way ?

URLs in post content need to be absolute - otherwise they won't be parsed correctly.

The visual editor (SCEditor) can sometimes produce Base64 code when images are inserted using drag & drop, but that format is not supported by MyBB, and absolute paths (or attachments) should be used instead.
