Is there a code or plugin I use to create something like what mybb uses for the staff on here for the user group? Also is there a way of linking it to a staff page so when a user clicks the group it redirects them to the staff page?

The answer to your first part of the question as far as a specific plugin to do what they do, is the plugin used by the mybb community is:
https://github.com/mybb/mybb-externalUserLabels and I am sure you can do a quick search through the community posts and may find more informative posts on that particular usage. Beyond that part of your question and or if you opt to not go that routes, then there most likely are more than a few posts with other css type alternatives of styling group images to be similar / "staff like" via css and probably a few with fa usages as well if those alternatives might also be of interest, most likely a search will provide some of the likes.
