MyBB Darkmode Switch
MyBB 1.8 plugin to add options to toggle between light and dark mode in forum view.

Selectable options in UserCP or on registration are:

• Never use Dark Mode
  
• Always use Dark Mode
  
• Automatic selection by browser/OS settings

Plugins contains:

• Main plugin functions
  
• Dark CSS definitions for the default MyBB theme
  
• Dark SCEditor modification files
  

This plugin is for free but it would be nice if you support my work with a little donation.

Installation:

• unzip package
  
• copy content from "UPLOAD" folder to the forum root on server
  
• install & activate the plugn from ACP
  
• edit your theme darkmode.css file as you like
  

Full Update:

• uninstall plugin from ACP
  
• unzip new package
  
• copy content from "UPLOAD" folder to the forum root on server
  
• install & activate the plugn from ACP
  
• edit your theme darkmode.css file as you like
  

Simple Update:

• unzip new package
  
• copy content from "UPLOAD" folder to the forum root on server

This plugin offers full language support.
The basic package contains english and german language files.

You should add that the DarkMode Switch Plugin only works in the MyBB Default Theme in the Project Details here.

Hi, thanks for your contribution !

From a quick look to the source code, I think it is feasible for admins to adapt the style sheets for their custom themes directly from the Themes module in the ACP, is this conclusion correct ? If so it could be helpful to document it somehow.
